Festa medievale XXXIII edizione
La fiera del borgo 12-13-14 luglio 2013
Più di ogni altra regione italiana il medioevo ha lasciato qui in Toscana le sue tracce e sembra ancora vivere tra i sentieri delle antiche vie dei pellegrini, le pietre delle chiese romaniche, l’intrigata architettura dei borghi o i merli della cinta muraria di un castello come questo di Monteriggioni di cui lasciò nobile memoria persino Dante nella sua Commedia.

Dalle 17,00Accampamento militare della compagnia d'arme Leoni bianchi di Monteriggioni con esibizioni ed intrattenimenti per il pubblico.
Porta Senese
Dalle 17,00Il gabelliere-poeta ispeziona i villani e le merci in arrivo.
Camminamenti porta senese e fiorentina
Dalle 17,00Sugli spalti armati di guardia veglieranno su nemici e malintenzionati.

Dalle 17,00Poesie a richiesta per i villani del borgo con i poeti del Laboratorio del sonetto.

Mani, creta e fuoco: forno per la cottura primitiva con possibilità di modellare e cuocere piccoli manufatti.

Dalle 17,00 alle 22,30Giocare al medioevo: tiro alla fune, alea, veleno, duodecim scripta e altri giochi medievali, animazione e il racconto delle incredibili avventure di Stracciatoppe, pellegrino medievale, con il gruppo Camaleonde (i bambini dovranno essere accompagnati).

Dalle 17,00Messer Lurinetto, Monna Priscilla e il gran cerimoniere della Festa Stefanello di monte Adamello, al suono di antiche melodie, aprono le porte del Castello e danno inizio alla Fiera nel borgo.

Rievocazione storica: arrivo da Siena del Vicario Giovanni Tolomei Castellano di Monteriggioni e corteggio per le vie del Castello, a cura del Gruppo storico Agresto.
Sabato 13 e domenica 14 dalle 19,30 alle 20,00
Rievocazione storica: il castellano riceve il popolo tutto per festeggiare la vita che riparte dopo la pestilenza.

Atmosfere, giochi con i trampoli, equilibrismi, fachirismi, fuochi e altre magie con i Giullari di Davide Rossi.

Un carro di comici travestiti da pellegrini giunge al castello per raccontare antiche leggende, con l’English Theatre Company.

La corona di Avalon: ritmi, armi e danze con il Monteriggioni ensemble.

Rievocazione storica: solenne processione di ringraziamento per la fine della peste con il racconto di mirabolanti guarigioni, salvamenti e pentimenti da parte di Madonna Paola de' Lambardi e il Gruppo storico Agresto.

Mastrodarmi, la macchina del potere: è l'ennesimo giorno di tributo a Mastrodarmi, oscuro signorotto della Città, quando da lontano arriva un Pellegrino sconosciuto che..., a cura del Teatro dei Venti.

Gran finale con il ballo a corte accompagnato dai suoni degli Errabundi Musici (venerdì e sabato) e dal trio Di Volo-Tancredi-Bolognesi (domenica).

The fair of the village 12-13-14 July 2013
More than any other region of the Italian Middle Ages has left its traces here in Tuscany and it still seems to live in the paths of the ancient streets of the pilgrims, the stones of the Romanesque churches, intrigued by the architecture of the villages or the battlements of the walls of a castle as Monteriggioni he left this noble memory of even Dante in his Divine Comedy.
