Opening Act: BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB
Mercoledi 17 luglio 2013 si esibiranno sul palco del Lucca Summer Festival il gruppo musicale alternative rock statunitense The Killers.
Esplosi nei primi anni 2000 grazie all’album Hot Fuss (2004), trainato
al successo planetario da singoli diventati rapidamente dei veri e
propri inni generazionali, come Somebody Told Me e Mr Brightside, un
disco capace di vendere oltre 7 milioni di copie e di essere scelto da
moltissime riviste tra i 100 album piu' importanti della decade
2000-2010.
La principale fonte di ispirazione musicale dei Killers, come del resto
della maggior parte della scena indie di inizio millennio, è data dalle
sonorità tipiche degli anni 80, in particolare la new wavw. I quattro membri della band, tra l'altro, si dichiarano a loro volta fan di U2, David Bowie, New Order , Dire Streets e Queen.
Il concerto si terrà mercoledi 17 luglio ore 20,30 in Piazza Napoleone

Wednesday July 17, 2013 will perform on stage at the Lucca Summer Festival the American alternative rock band The Killers.
Exploded in the early 2000s with the album Hot Fuss (2004), driven by the global success of the single quickly became real generational anthems like Somebody Told Me and Mr. Brightside, a disc capable of selling over 7 million copies and be chosen by many magazines including the top 100 albums most 'important of the decade 2000-2010.
The main source of musical inspiration of the Killers, as most of the rest of the indie scene of the millennium, is given by the typical sound of the 80s, especially the new Wavw. The four members of the band, among other things, declare themselves fans of U2, David Bowie, New Order, Dire Streets and Queen.
