Festa Medievale Vicopisano - Medieval Festival Vicopisano

Sabato 31 agosto e domenica 1 settembre si terrà presso Vicopisano (Pisa) la diciottesima Festa Medievale,durante la quale questo antico paese, con torri, fortificazioni medievali interamente conservate, Palazzo Pretorio e la splendida Rocca del Brunelleschi verrà riportato indietro nel tempo, ricreando l’atmosfera dell’XI e XII secolo grazie all’illuminazione con torce, alle tante costruzioni in legno e canniccio allestite nelle vie e nelle piazze, alle bandiere sventolanti ad ogni finestra, agli spettacoli medievali fatti di canti, musiche e sfilate in costume,in cui per partecipare ci sarà un forzoso cambio di moneta da euro a fiorini da usare durante la festività.
Si può mangiare come nel medioevo attorniati dai cantastorie,  in locande all’aperto dislocate nei pressi delle gabelle e potranno bere il vino di Ippocrasso nella piazza della Posta vecchia dov’è il Mercato Medievale: mercato di prodotti tipici dell’artigianato locale, delle spezie e della gastronomia. Durante la festa ci saranno spettacoli di strada con sbandieratori, giocolieri, acrobati aerei, mangiafuoco, trampolieri, giullari imbonitori, mendicanti, ladruncoli di strada e teatro itinerante.
"Chicca della festa è la cena  nella  piazzetta di Palazzo Pretorio, spettacolare per 30 persone a sera durante la quale i commensali assistono alle esibizioni di numerosi artisti. La cena è cucinata con pietanze, criteri e ricette medievali, nonché consumata seguendo il galateo del ’300, ovvero senza forchette e seguendo un ordine di portata diverso dal nostro attuale. Il costo è di 45 euro comprensivo di ingresso alla Festa."

Orari e prezzi:
-Il biglietto di ingresso alla Festa è di 6 euro a persona, mentre è gratuito per i bambini e per chi si presenterà vestito in costume medievale 
- Nei giorni di Festa è attivo un ottimo servizio di bus navetta gratuito con partenza dal parcheggio del complesso scolastico su Viale Diaz

During the festival there will be street performances with flag-wavers, jugglers, aerial acrobats, fire eaters, stilt walkers, jugglers hawkers, beggars, thieves and street traveling theater.
" Highlight of the festival is the dinner in the square of the Palazzo Pretorio, spectacular for 30 people a night during which the guests attending performances by many artists.Dinner is cooked with dishes, criteria and medieval recipes, as well as consumed by following the etiquette of the '300, ie without forks and following an order flow different from ours today.The cost is € 45 including entrance to the Festival."
