Pinocchio

Il più grande Pinocchio del mondo si trova a Collodi ed è alto 16 metri dalla testa ai piedi per un peso totale di circa 14 tonnellate.
Il grande abete usato per la costruzione del burattino è stato donato dal Commune di Burtigny in Svizzera,ed è stato lavorato da Rte Industrielle 1806 St-Légier, creando così un gemellaggio tra la città di Pescia e il Commune de St-Légier- La Chiésaz.

The biggest Pinocchio in the world is located in Collodi and is 16 meters high from head to toe with a total weight of about 14 tons.

Festa Medievale Vicopisano - Medieval Festival Vicopisano

Sabato 31 agosto e domenica 1 settembre si terrà presso Vicopisano (Pisa) la diciottesima Festa Medievale,durante la quale questo antico paese, con torri, fortificazioni medievali interamente conservate, Palazzo Pretorio e la splendida Rocca del Brunelleschi verrà riportato indietro nel tempo, ricreando l’atmosfera dell’XI e XII secolo grazie all’illuminazione con torce, alle tante costruzioni in legno e canniccio allestite nelle vie e nelle piazze, alle bandiere sventolanti ad ogni finestra, agli spettacoli medievali fatti di canti, musiche e sfilate in costume,in cui per partecipare ci sarà un forzoso cambio di moneta da euro a fiorini da usare durante la festività.
Si può mangiare come nel medioevo attorniati dai cantastorie,  in locande all’aperto dislocate nei pressi delle gabelle e potranno bere il vino di Ippocrasso nella piazza della Posta vecchia dov’è il Mercato Medievale: mercato di prodotti tipici dell’artigianato locale, delle spezie e della gastronomia. Durante la festa ci saranno spettacoli di strada con sbandieratori, giocolieri, acrobati aerei, mangiafuoco, trampolieri, giullari imbonitori, mendicanti, ladruncoli di strada e teatro itinerante.
"Chicca della festa è la cena  nella  piazzetta di Palazzo Pretorio, spettacolare per 30 persone a sera durante la quale i commensali assistono alle esibizioni di numerosi artisti. La cena è cucinata con pietanze, criteri e ricette medievali, nonché consumata seguendo il galateo del ’300, ovvero senza forchette e seguendo un ordine di portata diverso dal nostro attuale. Il costo è di 45 euro comprensivo di ingresso alla Festa."

-Il biglietto di ingresso alla Festa è di 6 euro a persona, mentre è gratuito per i bambini e per chi si presenterà vestito in costume medievale

Giardino Villa Garzoni (Collodi) - Garden Villa Garzoni (Collodi)

Tutti coloro che visiterranno il paese di Pinocchio non potranno non visitare il Giardino di Villa Garzoni,con il suo stile Barocco,fatto di tante statue e scalinate in stile italiano,visto i terrazzamenti che ci sono, dato il forte pendio in cui è posto il giardino.
Quando si entra nel giardino si rimane lettealmente a bocca aperta per quanto è bello,con le due statue di Pan flautista e di Flora che vi accolgono facendo da apripista a due grandi vasche rotonde con ninfee e magnifici cigni che vi nuotano insieme a dei germani reali,percorrendo il viale sia arriva al cospetto delle statue di Apollo e Diana vicino a delle aiuole con rappresentati all'interno gli stemmi della famiglia Garzoni.
Da qui si arriva poi ad una grande scalinata che è fatta di statue in terracotta e mosaici molto suggestivi,
che sale fino al primo pianerottolo dove  sono poste le statue di Nettuno e di Tritoni.
Il secondo pianerottolo conduce ad un'estremità alla statua di Pomona, divinità protettrice del giardino, e dall'altra parte ad un teatro. La parte centrale prosegue lungo una cascata a gradini, che culmina con una statua della Fama, dalla cui cornucopia sgorga l'acqua che prima di defluire nella cascata si getta in una vasca semicircolare;tutto questo è immerso in un bosco, con  percorsi orizzontali, due dei quali proseguono raggiungendo uno un boschetto di bambù  che dopo aver attraversato un ponticello a forma di pergolato arriva ad un labirinto sormontato da una galleria ad archi di vegetazione. In questa zona si trova anche un edificio per i bagni, già eremo di religiosi.

Butterfly House Collodi

Per tutti gli amanti della natura c'è un posto in assoluto che non si può non visitare,la Butterfly House a Collodi,il paese di Pinocchio.
La casa delle farfalle è un ambiente molto ben conservato e curato,dove appena si entra si ha la sensazione di essere in un ambiente incontaminato,dove la natura la fa da padrone,sentendosi in sintonia con essa.
Appena la si comincia a percorrere,si vede la vegetazione rigogliosa con le sue profumazioni,si incontrano le varie specie di farfalle che volano sfiorandovi il corpo e le altre che riposano aggrappate su foglie,rami,ed altri appigli.Oltre le farfalle vi sono a far da contorno varie specie di volatili,tra cui vari pappagalli dai colori variegati,che sono talmente abituati alla presenza dell'uomo che si lasciano avvicinare per farsi fotografare mettendosi in posa come dei modelli.
Inoltre durante il percorso vi sono  spiegate le varie fasi di nascita e crescita delle farfalle,con in bella vista un'incubatrice con i vari fuchi.
Visitare questo luogo sarà un'esperienza meravigliosa,che non lascerà rimpianti.
Un'unica nota: durante la visita è proibito toccare le farfalle e bisogna portare rispetto per tutto l'ambienta presente.

Buongiorno a tutti.
Oggi vi salutiamo da un posto che merita assolutamente di essere visitato: "IL QUERCIONE DI SAN MARTINO".
Si tratta di una quercia la cui età si aggira sui 600 anni, ha un'altezza di 24 metri, la circonferenza del fusto 4 metri e l'apertura dei rami circa 40 metri. Il prato circostante é luogo suggestivo e ritrovo di incontri romantici. Su questo albero si tramandano leggende di streghe che sotto la sua chioma terrebbero, nelle notti di luna piena, i loro sabba e danzerebbero sui suoi rami. Si dice, anche, che questa sia la quercia dove il gatto e la volpe impiccarono il burattino Pinocchio,o dovetrocò ispirazione il Collodi per l'opera: il paese di Collodi, infatti,  é ad un tiro di schioppo. Il luogo é accessibile sempre e merita sicuramente una foto ricordo.
Si rmane senza fiato  quando ci si trova di fronte a questa onorevole signora ultracentenari,che ne ha viste passare talmente tante da far venire i brividi,ma che comunque è ancora li,fiera che erge i suoi rami possenti fino a quasi voler abbracciare tutto l'ambiente circostante.
Accanto a Lei ci si rende conto che si è davvero piccoli piccoli,in tutti i sensi!
L'albero è presente nell’ elenco degli Alberi Monumentali del Corpo Forestale dello Stato ed è stata riconosciuta come bene paesaggistico,con un valore storico,estetico e culturale per il territorio.
Questo grande esemplare si trova su di un promontorio a cavallo tra i paesi di Gragnano e San Martino in Colle nel comune di Capannori, a soli 4 km. da Montecarlo e a pochi Km da Lucca,immersa in un bosco decisamente suggestivo.
